A Conversation with
Mary Catherine Starr of
Mom Life Comics

February  3 | 7:00 PM
Nashoba Brooks Barn

We are thrilled to welcome the one and only Mary Catherine Starr to this year’s WBYC Annual Lecture for a powerful conversation about modern-day families and the pressures we all feel. Mary Catherine is the creative force behind the hugely popular Momlife Comics platform, where her candid, humorous, and deeply relatable comics about motherhood, marriage, and the mental load of family life have resonated with hundreds of thousands online.

Join us for a heartfelt and honest discussion that will dive into the invisible labor of parenting, the mental load many caregivers carry every day, and the cultural expectations shaping how we parent, partner, and show up for our families. We’ll also explore Mary Catherine’s sharp cultural commentary and hear her insights on navigating today’s political and social conversations with our kids — including how to talk about the hard things with love and clarity.

This event promises laughter, reflection, and connection — a chance to rethink what it means to thrive as a family in an age of endless advice, imperfect balance, and fierce love.

For more information on Mary Catherine and her work, visit her website.

This event is made possible by a generous grant from The Concord Carlisle Foundation. WBYC is deeply grateful for this community support, which allows us to bring meaningful, high-quality conversations—especially the hard ones—to the people we love and serve.

Mary Catherine will be signing copies of her new book Mama Needs a Minute! after our conversation. If you want o purchase a book before the event, you can get your copy here!

Books will also be for sale on site. Thanks!
